I don’t know about you, but I’m personally sick and tired of hearing the bickering about global warming. Some say it’s a sham, a fraud, we aren’t causing global warming it’s a natural cycle, and others are saying we need to reduce our CO2 outputs to prevent heading into a new ice age.

I moved to the LA area about 2 years ago, and let me just say, all the cartoons with the giant cloud just as you pass into the LA city limits aren’t exaggerating that much. The skies of LA are constantly brownish gray, and hazy. Occasionally you’ll get a nice clear day, but rarely can you look toward the mountains and not see the brown cloudy haze in the sky. I also lived in Chicago for a year, and while it wasn’t nearly as bad as Los Angeles, and harder to tell since you didn’t have the nice backdrop of the mountains for the cloud to stand out against, it’s still quite bad. Then there are the satellite images of China showing actual movement of smog clouds from eastern China over Japan and out to the Pacific Ocean. I don’t know about you, but I’m not a huge fan of smog.
Politicians need to get their heads out of their asses and quit bickering over pointless crap, and start making PROGRESS toward something. Encourage people to drive hybrid cars, fund exploration for renewable energy, penalize people who buy gigantic megaSUVs like Ford Excursions, Cadillac Escalades and Hummers. Don’t just sit around debating the merits of global warming. DO SOMETHING.

No really. Its the same tactic. They spread misinformation all over the Internet so that supporters feel like they’re outnumbered. Now they’re doing it with Climate change.
I was just at a blog site calling Climate Change a hoax and a response from a reader asked this ridiculous question…
“..please elaborate on green utility scams that are fooling people into switching their utility companies for an alleged “green” company. Customers are paying more for what they believe is “green” power.”
Yeah, like a real person asked that question! How bloody lame! the entire site is like that and they are HUNDREDS of them al over the Internet.
The problem in America is you have the Religious Fundamentalists in office. You know… also known as “The Crazies!”
The only way to get them moving is to get everyone on board… and the only way that’s going to happen is when the US gets hit hard with something horrible… like wiping out a larger portion of the country by some monstrous environmental catastrophe. A few storms isn’t going to do it. Nature has to kick the US in the face before you get everyone moving in the same direction.
Unfortunately, if the entire planet isn’t doing the same thing and working for a better environment it won’t matter anyway and the US has never had the greatest policies when it comes to helping others. Ask any European.
By the time ol’ Dubbaya realizes he’s made a bigger mistake than he realizes, it will be too late anyway. Just like speeding down a curving road… you suddenly think “I don’t want to go down here” and by that time, you’ve past the point of no return and you’re now heading off the cliff.
What the US needs is to elect a President who knows what needs to be done for the environment and isn’t afraid to tell the NRA, big business, his Chief of Staff, the Joint Chiefs AND the Senate to “Go to Hell and Get With The Program! We did it to ourselves and I here to undo it!”
Because don’t forget, if we are to stop climate change, it’s going to take everyone, everywhere; including Third World countries and those not part of the G8, EVERYONE working for the environment for us to stop it. Even then, that means someone has to get Brazil to stop burning the rain-forests, someone has to stop the destruction of the Coral Reefs in the Phillipines, we have to stop animal poaching EVERYTHING… everything is linked, everything is all part of the same thing working together.
So we need a bigger miracle than just Bush falling off a cliff.
But they are doing something about it. They are already drawing up plans to tax the living hell out of you so that you won’t be able to afford to drive at all while they can drive in their megasupersized SUV and use the energy you can’t afford to have for themselves. It’s all a political scam of the worst kind.
Noticed that they keep yammering about global warming as if it was a new religion but ignore and don’t even dare mention the pollution which is clearly a far greater problem for us humans. Talk about respiratory problems! But no, we have to believe Al Gore’s doomsday scenario in which we all drown in the next years. Let’s not talk about pollution. Why not talk about pollution, well, because if you take that into consideration all it will show is that the political climate change hype is a purely political issue.
